Thanks for sharing your story with us Marc. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up in San Diego, the ocean has always been a big part of my life. Surfing, Fishing, Sailing and Diving were my main childhood pass times.

I always had the dream of running my own charter boat and set myself on the path to learn the skills and knowledge to achieve this dream.

I’ve been working in the marine industry for 30 years learning all the details of running a successful business on the water. 10 years ago I opened up Fish Hunter Sport Fishing Charters with an emphasis on Customer Service, Fun successful fishing trips, and running trips on a clean safe vessel.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a business at the beginning of the recession was a mental struggle but I soon realized that there still was a demand for fishing charters. I’ve been fortunate that the number of Charters I’ve ran has increased each year.

Maintaining the boat, finding fish, customer acquisition, online reputation are some of the struggles we continue to contend with.

Fish Hunter Sport Fishing Charters is a 6 pack fishing charter boat. We can take up to 6 people on our boat for fishing adventures from 6hr, 9hr and 12 hour trips. Usually are clients are family, friends, and coworkers some with Fishing knowledge and many who have never been out fishing before.

It’s rewarding to take people out for their first Fishing experiences and seeing the bonding and camaraderie that develops from a successful trip.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m extremely happy being an owner/operator of my fishing charter business. Continually growing my business, improving my fishing skills, providing great customer service are some of my on-going goals.
